"With riveting panache, Sorkin joins the dots between anti-Vietnam War demonstrators and our current explosive historical moment"
- Robbie Collin, Daily Telegraph
"A fiery condemnation of the police state and government overreach, this is both timely and timeless. Sorkin and a superb cast make legal proceedings compelling, and then show that the law is an ass."
- Helen O'Hara, Empire
"This is a film that examines both the past and the present day; that plots a path on the common ground between them."
– Wendy Ide, The Observer
"Sacha Baron Cohen steals the show in Aaron Sorkin's mostly entertaining, occasionally cheesy, totally timely take on a notorious US trial."
– Charlotte O'Sullivan, Evening Standard
"[T]he compassionate, optimistic and indeed counterintuitive ending feels like the aspirational balm that we need right now."
– Kevin Maher, The Times
"When it all clicks, its terrific cast in full flow in the packed courtroom, it's truly stirring stuff."
– Philip De Semlyen, Time Out
"It's Oscars-bait galore in this star-studded courtroom drama from Aaron Sorkin."
– Larushka Ivan-Zadeh, Metro
