"The use of nothing but archival footage to recount Diana's rise, her perpetual "trial by television" and her fall isn't a gimmick -- it's a stroke of genius, a jujitsu finishing move on her tormentors." David Fear, Rolling Stone

"THE PRINCESS is a perfectly timed, compulsively watchable once-over-lightly documentary." Owen Gleiberman, Variety

"This is a carefully arranged narrative that doesn't just chart the story of Diana's fame but becomes the story of a woman whose private life became public property." Anna Smith, Deadline Hollywood Daily

THE PRINCESS tells the story of Princess Diana exclusively through contemporaneous archival footage creating a bold and immersive narrative of her life and death.  Turning the camera back on ourselves, the film also illuminates the profound impact she had and how the public’s attitude to the monarchy was, and still is, shaped by these events.

This will be the third feature from Academy Award® nominee Ed Perkins (BLACK SHEEP, TELL ME WHO I AM), together with Lightbox, the leading UK-US film and television production company founded by Academy®, Emmy® and BAFTA Award-winning producer Simon Chinn (SEARCHING FOR SUGAR MAN, MAN ON WIRE, TINA) and Emmy® Award-winning and Academy Award® nominee Jonathan Chinn (LA 92, AMERICAN HIGH, WHITNEY).
