“It’s absolutely brilliant.....he’s found his voice!” Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2
“..the new Henry Priestman album...a thing of beauty”
                                                                                        Mark Kermode (BBC 5live Broadcaster)

Henry’s bands The Christians & before that, Yachts, both recorded at Olympic Studios , so he’s looking forward to returning to Olympic for the first time since 1990!!
In 2009, Henry (who wrote all those hits for The Christians in the 80’s, and Yachts’ songs in the 70’s) reinvented himself as a singer-songwriter, and released his debut solo CD “The Chronicles of Modern Life” to critical acclaim, and singles from the album (including “Grey’s The New Blonde”) made it onto the Radio 2 playlist.
Proper Records released “The Last Mad Surge of Youth in 2014 and it garnered Henry the best reviews he’s had in 42 years of releasing records.

Here’s what they said about Henry’s “The Last Mad Surge of Youth” album:

UnCut: 8/10 “…compares favourably to Ray Davies. These are heart-warming self-assured songs from a man confidently declaring that he’s not done yet”

R2: **** “Clever crafted songwriting…full of proper tunes & grown-up words…a clever, wily,  literate writer”

Q: ***“It’s all bound by Priestman’s songwriterly craft: some things age cannot whither”
